Psst... Don't tell our competition.... But here's our "secret":
NO POINTS
We don't require that our customer pay points. It can take 5 years just to break even. That seems
like a deal that benefits the bank more than our customers, so we don't advise anyone pay points.
NO ORIGINATION FEES
Not only do we NOT charge an "Origination Fee"* on our 1st mortgages, we don't charge the "fees"
we've seen some of our competitors charge, like: "Broker Fees" and "Administration Fees".
How do they get away with stuff like that?!
NO UPFRONT FEES
Other lenders, including some "No Fee" and "Discount" lenders, require you to pay a $500 "Lock-In
Fee", or hand over a "Deposit". "Deposit" for what? If they're really looking out for their customers,
and the loans will work out, why the need for upfront fees? At AmeriStar, the only thing that has to
be paid before you get your loan is the appraiser's fee, and all of that goes to the appraiser, not us.
LOTS OF PERSONAL SERVICE (and that needs no elaboration!)
* Please note if you do opt to pay Points to buy down your rate, our investors require that the first point paid be put
in the "Origination Fee" field on the HUD-1 Settlement Sheet, but paying Points is entirely up to you.
